Chagpori Tibetan Medical Institute

Chagpori Tibetan Medical Institute was founded in 1992 by Ven. Dr. Trogawa Rinpoche in Darjeeling, in commemoration of Chagpori, Tibet.

The tree Pillars of Chagpori contain
the Pharmacy, College and Clinics.

Admission is open for the 9th batch of students at Chagpori Tibetan Medical Institute for the 6 year training for amchi, tibetan doctor. Read this for further information in Tibetan.

We would like to inform you that Anit Thapa, GTA Chairman visited Chagpori on Friday 4th September. They plan to make a motorable road till Chagpori College.

Sunday April 5, the Chagpori clinic in Takdah village gave free medicine for flu, cough and fever. It was announced that one person per family could come. All together 169 persons did come. The local Women association gave out free cotton face masks.

Chagpori Tibetan Medical College is at this moment located at Takdah Cantonment, about twenty-seven kilometres from Darjeeling.
